Tokyo Amesh, Protecting people from rain disasters.
Rain nurtures life and brings comfort to our life. It also provides us with drinking water.
But, concentrated to downpours, rain inflicts great damage on our property and risks our life. Therefore, accurate rainfall information is essential for proper operation of a pumping station or a wastewater treatment center.
Rainfall information system "Tokyo Amesh", first introduced in 1988, was upgraded in 2016. Newly installed Multi-Parameter Radars estimate rainfall intensity under 1.0mm/h. We provide more accurate and accessible rainfall information to support customer to prepare for flood.

Estimation of rainfall using MP (Multi-parameter) Radar is conducted with the cooperation of “National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience" (National Research and Development Agency). National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience
