- Features of Rainfall Information System
- A radar system utilizes the directivity of electromagnetic waves and changes that occur in the nature of the waves as
they strike an object and are reflected back to their source to observe the intensity and locality of rain.
- ●Wide-range observation
- Precipitation (except snow) over the area in and around Tokyo, approx.190km from east to west and approx.120km from
south to north, can be viewed at a glance.
- ●Precise measurement
- The resolution meshes are square meshes with side length 150m or 250m in order of distance from radar stations,
which make it possible to catch torrential rain completely.
- ●Real-time monitoring
- Data update is done at a short interval. The change of the rain can be grasped without delay.
